I have a question about Roth options. We live in California. At my work they are giving a Roth 457b. Our household income is $300,000 – $350,000. Which would be a better option, Roth or pretax 457b? We live in California and pay state tax of 10-11%.
I’m looking into starting a new job soon. My understanding is there is a 1 year ‘vesting time’ before I can contribute. If I start in 2019, would I have to wait until 2020 to contribute?
Could you please explain a suggested portfolio for your “Backdoor Roth”?
Here, I demonstrate HOW to do a Roth IRA contribution through the “back door”
